Angelo’s offers authentic hand tossed pizza made from fresh homemade dough daily. Open all year long, the restaurant is a meeting place for locals and travelers. The dining area is spacious and clean and adorned with historic pictures of Hatteras.  Adjacent to the eating area is a game room with 35 different machines including pool tables, a dance machine, pin ball machines, air hockey tables and a foosball game.

History

Angelos has established itself as a premier pizza and sub restaurant on the Outer Banks. Visitors to Hatteras exclaim that it is the first place they stop even before they unload their cars. Located in a prime location in downtown Buxton near the beaches and the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, Angelo’s is a great place to relax and enjoy good food.

Mike Nell makes the pizza dough and hand tosses the pizzas himself.  He has been cooking since 1985, learning his trade from his brother up north who has been cooking since 1976. Mike loves pizza and eats at least one fresh slice every day. Delicious dinners include Chicken,Veal and Eggplant Parmesan, Lasagna, Spaghetti with Meatballs and Manicotti. If you are in the mood for a sub try the Philly Cheese Steak Sub, the Chicken Philly or Club. The food served at Angelo’s has Mike’s stamp of approval for being tasty, fresh, and cooked in the delicious style of Northern Italian Cooking.

Angelo's Pizza

This pizzeria is owned and operated by Lanie Gaskill. Lanie is a Hatteras Native. Mike Nell is the manager and a major cook . They have assembled an excellent staff with experience and training in the restaurant business.

Together, they treat their customers the old fashioned way giving them good food at a good price with good service in a friendly atmosphere.
