If you are looking for a local, beachy, Key West-like place right on the beach, then Beach Road Grill is the place for you!  On the menu you will find everything from the 12 oz. Grilled Ribeye to Minnie’s Clam Chowder.  Open all year ‘round, Beach Road Grill makes all of their dressings, coleslaw, and french fries - fresh and homemade!  Offering a little something for everyone, they have live, local music for the adults and coloring for the kids.

Originally Miller's Pharmacy in 1935, and then Mulligan’s Raw Bar & Grille, Beach Road Grill was opened in 2006, when they decided to move Mulligan’s.  Beach Road Grill is located at Mile Post 10.5 on the beach road.  Just look for the orange-and-yellow sign with a picture of the sun on it.  They are open all year ‘round!  Beach Road Grill takes part in the “Green Initiative” by recycling oyster shells and glass.

Chef Kenny Calvert, also referred to as “Bunky,” has been at Beach Road Grill for two and a half years.  He previously worked at Quagmires and The Whaling Station, where he met Jane. 

Owner Biography

Beach Road Grill

Owner/operator Jane Loesch started bartending in the Outer Banks in 1984. You could consider her a “Pioneer” bartender of the Outer Banks.  Before it was Beach Road Grill, it was Mulligan’s.  Jane used to be the manager at Mulligan’s and that is how she discovered the location.  Now named Beach Road Grill, the restaurant is currently operated by Jane and her twin sister, Jan Woolridge.
