History
In the summer of 2009, the Eiferts acquired the restaurant from the previous owner. The eatery is located in a circa 1850 home, complete with heart-of-pine flooring throughout. Doug and Judy continue a forty-plus year tradition of running a restaurant in this location.

Owner Biography

Doug and Judy Eifert, former caterers and restaurant operators, are the owners of Dajio. They moved to the Island in 2009 from Lexington, KY, where they operated an award-winning restaurant called ‘Ed & Fred’s Desert Room.’ Doug is from Pittsburgh, PA, and Judy calls home upstate New York.

- Great food and atmosphere
Great place! Nice decor, the homemade mac and cheese with lump crab meat was to die for. Fester made me feel right at home!
