Goombay’s Grille & Raw Bar features fresh local seafood, chicken and steak prepared with a unique Caribbean flare. We are located at Mile Post 7 on the beach road. Inside the restaurant you will find that we have created an underwater adventure. We also offer a fun kids' menu and are family-friendly. We serve dinner until 10 p.m. and also offer late-night steamed and raw bar items until 2 a.m. Enjoy live music every Saturday during the summer months (June - August).

Goombay's Grill & Raw Bar

Chef Jimmy Caruth is a Johnson & Wales graduate.  He has been with Goombay’s since 2007. Jimmy has worked in many restaurants on the Outer Banks, but now runs the Caribbean cuisine based restaurant for Charlie and Karen.

Goombay's Grill & Raw Bar

Goombay’s Grille and Raw Bar is owned and operated by Charlie Hennigan and his wife Karen.  Both are from the Virginia Beach area and decided to move to the Outer Banks after visiting the area during summer vacations.  Charlie has owned several restaurants and started Goombay’s in 2000.  He is an active sponsor in Relay for Life.

    best fish ever

    We had dinner on Saturday night and wow, it was awesome. We expected a long wait and even though it was packed, we only had to wait about 3 minutes. The waitress was very helpful and informative. The atmosphere is so much fun, there's fish tanks, murals on the wall, and sea turtles on the ceiling! My 4 year old was delighted when his drink came with a toy shark in it! My husband had the fish du jour and it was absolutely divine with clean, vibrant flavors and wonderful spices... my pasta was filled with fresh veggies and the sauce was rich without being too heavy. We will definitely return!
