all about the steam & raw bar.

I love sitting at the steam & raw bar. It's really cool to watch the guys prepare your meal in front of your eyes. Great local atmosphere. Just come a little bit early since it gets so packed!

Best spot on the beach, hands down!

Plain and simple, Tortuga's is the best seafood spot on the beach. The raw bar is always stocked and ready to serve you, the drink specials are great, and the Caribbean food is simply delicious. You know it's a great restaurant when it's packed full of locals every night! You can taste how fresh all of the food is, especially the seafood and fruits & vegetables. Why go to any old Applebee's when you can enjoy locally caught and prepared seafood, and then walk across the street and hit the beach. I highly recommend anything from the raw (or steam!) bar, and the conch fritters are especially delicious. Any trip I take down to the OBX, I never leave without getting my Tortuga's fix first!
